“Decent work is at the heart of the search for dignity for the individual, stability for the family, and peace in the community.” -Unknown
I started out my stylist dream as a newly single mama desiring to provide a flexible schedule for my son and also cater to a demographic of single mamas and papas who, for various reasons, just don’t get to take care of themselves. With that cornerstone in my pocket, I have been introduced to a community of parents whose hair texture is different from their own and their own personal research wasn’t giving them the results that they were hoping to obtain.
My heart leapt for joy as I braided the hair of my first little client. Our appts would take hours and the grandparents paid what they could afford at the time but my life was forever changed. She taught me about tender headedness, patience, the joy of various styles and the beauty of healthy natural hair.
Since that first little, I have worked with multiple families with all different hair types, helping them to all feel their best selves from the moment they leave my chair to the next time we get to see each other. My greatest accomplishment to date is the two little girls (turned young ladies) who went from covering their heads until they got to my chair, to rocking their different curl patterns with pride.
I love being a stylist that specializes in braiding because I get to be apart of a hair journey that goes deeper than meets the eye, provide flexibility to my handsome little man, and provide a service to a community of people that provide just as much “tHAIRapy” to me and I do them.
My name is Cassi, nice to meet you!
